Generating Content

Overview

Content generation is the core operational function of the Helika Content Creation Engine (CCE). It’s where your AI character, powered by its Character Sheet, Agent Controls, and Knowledge Base, produces posts, replies, and campaign material for your chosen platforms.

This section will cover:

  • Content Generation Modes Overview
  • Manual Post Creation
  • Semi-Automated Workflow
  • Fully Autonomous Posting
  • Tone Overrides
  • Target Audience Selection
  • Media Attachments
  • Platform Selection
  • Scheduling & Queue Management
  • Best Practices
  • Troubleshooting

Content Generation Modes Overview

The CCE supports three main workflows for generating content. These modes can be toggled at any time via Agent Controls (see Section 4):

  • Manual – You provide a prompt and approve every post before it is published.
Best for: Early testing, high brand-control environments, sensitive campaigns.

  • Semi-Automated – The AI generates posts on its own initiative (or in response to triggers), but queues them for your approval.
Best for: Balanced automation and control.

  • Fully Autonomous – The AI generates and publishes posts without human intervention.
Best for: High-volume engagement, live event coverage, or long-term “set-and-forget” campaigns.

Manual Post Creation

Manual mode offers maximum creative control. You initiate every piece of content by providing the system with a prompt.

Step-by-Step Manual Post Creation:

  1. Open the Content Queue for your active character.

  2. Click Create Post.

  3. Enter Prompt: Describe what the post should say or achieve.

Example: Reference the most recent patch notes, highlight Zeus’s chain lightning buff, and use one of his signature phrases.

  4. Select Tone Override (optional).

  5. Choose Target Audience

  6. Attach Media (optional)

  7. Choose Platform

  8. Schedule or Post Immediately

Post Review Options:

Once generated, the post appears in the Pending state for review. You can:

  • Approve → Moves to Scheduled or Posted depending on settings.
  • Edit → Modify wording, tone, or media.
  • Regenerate → Instruct AI to create a new version.
  • Reject → Discards the draft.

Semi-Automated Workflow

In semi-automated mode, the AI takes a more proactive role:

  • Monitors Knowledge Base for triggers (e.g., new patch notes, news articles).
  • Scans for trending topics relevant to your content category.
  • Generates suggested posts without you initiating prompts.

How It Works:

  • Pending Queue – Suggested posts appear here automatically.
  • Review & Action:
    • Approve → Scheduled/Posted.
    • Edit → Apply changes before approval.
    • Reject → Removes from queue; the AI learns from rejection patterns.

Common Use Case:
During a seasonal event, your AI might propose posts referencing in-game activities without you having to prompt it.

Fully Autonomous Posting

Fully autonomous mode is hands-off—once configured, your AI posts according to:

  • Personality settings
  • Knowledge Base updates
  • Engagement & rate limits in Agent Controls

❗️

Important Considerations

  • Enable Content Risk Filter and Red Flag Monitor for safety.
  • Monitor periodically via the Posted Content Log.
  • Best used for characters with proven on-brand performance.

Tone Overrides

While your character’s tone is defined in the Character Sheet, you can temporarily override it for specific posts.

Example Use Case:

  • Core tone: Bold, Playful
  • Override: Formal, Informative for a patch announcement.

Steps:

  1. In the post creation panel, locate the Tone Override dropdown.
  2. Select an alternative tone.
  3. This change applies only to the current post.

Target Audience Selection

Tailor the style and focus of a post by specifying the intended audience.

Audience Options:

  • Players – Uses more direct gameplay references and community slang.
  • Developers – Emphasizes technical or behind-the-scenes details.
  • General Public – Simplified language for broader reach.
  • Custom Segment – Defined in Agent Controls via whitelists.

Media Attachments

Enhance posts with images, memes, infographics, or short videos.

Attachment Sources:

  • Upload directly from your device.
  • Select from linked asset libraries.
  • Generate via integrated AI image tools (if enabled in Agent Controls).

👍

Best Practices

  • Ensure media aligns with tone and brand guidelines.
  • Verify copyright clearance for all uploaded assets.

Platform Selection

Currently Supported:

  • X (Twitter)

Planned Platforms:

  • Discord
  • Reddit
  • YouTube (commenting)
  • TikTok

📘

Notes

  • The AI optimizes format automatically (e.g., character limits for X).
  • Platform choice may affect media handling and link previews.

Scheduling & Queue Management

Posts can be:

  • Posted Immediately – Sent to the platform in real time.
  • Scheduled – Set to publish at a specific date/time.
  • Saved as Draft – Held for indefinite manual review.

Queue View:

  • Pending – Awaiting approval (manual/semi-auto modes).
  • Scheduled – Approved and queued for future posting.
  • Posted – Already live; contains platform link.
  • Rejected – Discarded drafts (visible for audit).

Best Practices

  • Prompt Clarity: Be specific about desired references and tone.
  • Leverage Knowledge Base: Upload relevant materials before generating.
  • Batch Scheduling: Prepare posts ahead of major events.
  • Monitor Feedback: Use audience reactions to adjust future prompts.
  • Gradual Autonomy: Move from manual → semi-auto → full autonomy based on trust.

Troubleshooting

  • Issue: Generated post lacks relevant detail.

    • Solution: Check that Knowledge Base is up-to-date and referenced in the prompt.
  • Issue: Tone is off-brand for one post.

    • Solution: Apply Tone Override and verify Character Sheet settings.
  • Issue: Post rejected by platform.

    • Solution: Review Content Risk Filter keywords and adjust content.
  • Issue: Delayed posting.

    • Solution: Confirm scheduled time zone settings match your intended audience.
